Knights of Freedom

I'm finally caught up!! The last 10-15 posts cover our summer.

Brady has been able to be a part of a Knights of Freedom group this last year. The boys read about great men, take turns doing presentation, and planning activities for the other boys in the group. At the beginning of the school year they have a Knights of freedom Summit for two days. The boys are in group and they have Master Knights (older boys) who lead them throughout the summit. They learn to sword fight, sacrifice, and be part of a group. At the end they had a big battle and fought the bad guys. There is so much more to it then I can explain. I don't really understand it myself. But I know Brady LOVED it!! He had such a great experience and has been carrying his sword and shield around everywhere. Tanner is so excited to be part of the group this year.

The battle! They guys in black are the enemy!

They won!

Matthew was a Master Knight.

Labor Day

For Labor Day we wanted to do something fun so we decided to go up to the mountains and ride our go cart and have a picnic. We didn't end up getting up there until about 3:00...ug! When we finally got there Matthew and Savannah hogged the go cart. I tried to stop them but they wouldn't stop. They were in a really goofy moods. By the time they went on their 3rd round the go cart died. When they pulled the cord to start it again it broke right off. The younger boys were sad and that ended the trip. Oh well.... we tried. I thought it was still fun : )

Justin waiting to leave : )

Justin was happy...he got chips.

Want some?

Tanner bike riding

I tried to stop them so someone else could have a turn.. and this is what I got.

Matthew brought a flower the next round, when I tried to stop them, and threw it at me. I guess he was hoping it would make me not be mad.

The pictures say it all

Family Pictures 2011

I loved how our pictures turned out! The wild flowers were beautiful and added a perfect touch to the pictures.
