Be Thankful

Someone posted a video of this gentleman on Facebook. I spent some time looking through his videos on youtube and they are very inspirational. He talks about how he wanted to take his life at age 8. He didn't feel like he had any purpose in life because of not having arms and legs. As he grew older he realized that he needed to stop worrying about what he doesn't have (and dosen't have control of) and to start being thankful for what he does have. Then he was able to overcome obstacles and be happy and love the person he is. He also put his trust in God.

One of the things he said that I liked was this:

I've never seen a thankful person bitter.
and
I've never seen a bitter person thankful.

This is so true. We need to be thankful for what we do have. We need to stop thinking about how we aren't as cute as this person, or as talented as that person, or as smart as someone else. Each of us has something wonderful to give. We each have a great purpose. Why don't we celebrate each person's specials gifts rather then envying them and being jealous or just putting ourselves down because we can't do what they can? We are all beautiful and wonderful and have something important to contribute : )

What's up?

Well, it's been a long time so I'm gonna do some catch up : )

Valentines Day!
Brady and Tanner made valentine boxes and then we went to the big home school
Valentines Day party.

Tanner making his Dragon box (We just celebrated the Chinese New Year)

Brady's hot dog stand.

The kids each brought 30 valentines and then lined up and put them in the first 30 boxes.

There were over 200 kids.

Savannah singing in A Night of Broadway at the Scera Theater.

Savannah and another friend.

Then we celebrated Savy's 15th birthday!

She got lots of gum.

Some makeup brushes.

OOOOO...Money for clothes.

Then she chose to go eat out at Souper Salad.

Then my Nephew came home from his mission in Japan 2 months early! Because of the radiation they had to move the missionaries just starting their mission away from the danger zones and to make room they had to send home the missionaries just finishing their missions.

Welcome home Jordan!

Then today this little boy comes into the kitchen looking like this.

>
Somebody had gotten a hold of him.

Then I found this innocent looking girl. Notice the bright red lip stick....ahha!

But after seeing himself in the mirror, he forgave her.....until she painted his nails a couple hours later. SAVANNAH, he is not a girl! Stop putting lipstick and nail polish on him. He's gonna be so confused when he gets older.

Happy Birthday SAVY!

Glitter Graphics & Text
to my girl!! 15 years old!

WOW! I can't believe how time is passing!

Dear Savy,
Just want you to know how much I love you. You are both beautiful on the inside and outside. I love to see your smile. Your laugh is contagious. There is never a dull moment when you are around. You are thoughtful to other's feelings. You are smart and a hard worker in school. You have a "smoking" voice. I love hearing you sing at the top of your lungs all day long. (Okay, I admit that some days I don't love it so much ....cause I'm getting old and my ears are sensitive: ) But I still love that you're such a great singer. I love to watch you in plays or playing soccer. Thanks for helping when I need it. You're always there if I need an extra set of hands. Thanks for being you : ) I love you soooooo very very much!
