Our baby boy was born last night July 30, 2009 at 10:32 pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 2 0z. He measures 19 1/2 inches. Thanks to all who were praying that he would turn. The doctor was able to turn him and get him going in the right direction. There was a 50 percent chance he wouldn't. There were a few tense hours before that happened. After that we felt much more comfortable. They said if he didn't turn when the doctor tried, they would have to do a c-section. So we are grateful they didn't have to do it. We are working on names. More to come soon.

Photo Shoot
Savannah has been wanting to do a maternity photo shoot. I'm really hesitant to have pictures taken of me while I'm pregnant. I figured why not this time. Here are my 8 1/2 month prego pictures. She did a pretty good job with what she had to work with ; ) I also took some pictures of her (she edited them though). She is so beautiful! She's an inspiring photographer. We invested in canon SLR for her. She paid half and we paid the other half. I think every friend that comes over gets a photo shoot.

Crazy Emotional Rollercoster
I shouldn't post today.
I'm emotionally drained. I was told this week that I can't have the midwives deliver my baby. Luckily we've worked that out. All these policies are driving me crazy. The midwives will be there with me and the doctors will be managing the birth. I hate this.
I found out today that baby has decided to turn breech. I'm going to be trying everything this week to get him to turn (I have two weeks). It just seems like it's one bad news after another. They talked about starting me next week if he's head down and doing this, that, and the other thing . I want to wait until the week after that to make sure baby is ready. They can't try and turn the baby because of the anticoagulants. I'm not sure how much more I can take and what I'm supposed to learn from all this. I can't wait until it's all over. I just don't know what is going to happen. It seems like all is going against everything I want. I feel out of control and my choices are being taken away one at a time. Bring it on.....why not.
I start Heparin tomorrow and then in for yet another blood test to see how I'm handling it. My head hurts and I'm so tired and I'm sick of it all. I never want to see another needle again.
Okay, it's all out. Whaaaaaa!! I guess I need to stop wining and get to work hanging upside down....turn baby, turn.

We are alive!
I haven't posted for a long time because we've been insanely busy!! Between a homeschool conference, a camping trip, 4th of July, Mattthew's big 16th birthday party, a jet ski trip, girls camp, scout camps, I haven't had one weekend this summer to just sit home and relax!!!
We are alive and well but it doesn't look like things are going to slow down soon. We have one more family camping trip this weekend and then I really need to get ready for this baby. This week we've been cleaning, had the carpets cleaned yesterday (the dogs peed on it 3 times since AHHH! Does anyone want a dog?), got a car seat, and ordered some books for the coming school year. Next week, I go to the parenatologist (spelling?) and then I'll know the plan for the birth of this baby. I hate the word "plan". I just prefer nature taking it's course. UUUGG! I'm still not taking it all very well. I still want to have this baby at home. WHAAA! Oh well, I'm grateful to be alive and to have a healthy baby growing inside me.
Anyway, I'll get to posting some pictures of what we've been up to soon.
Four weeks left until the big day! Everyone is so excited to have a little one around!!
