Five Weeks

We found the card reader so here are some pictures below.

Today Justin when in for a checkup. He is now 8 lbs 12 oz. He's still a little peanut but growing and healthy.
Height - 22.83%
Weight - 18.19%
Head - 41.35%
Not too bad for being born 6 lbs.

The doctor felt like we should do the bilirubin test to make sure Justin's jaundice was okay.
Justin has breast milk jaundice. This type of jaundice starts around one week is caused by the mothers milk and lasts any where between 3-10 weeks. It's rarely ever dangerous. All my kids got it and I'm the lucky 1% of mothers who have this. Something in my milk messes with the breakdown of bilirubin. It corrects it self on its own luckily. Today he got the bilirubin test to make sure it's still at a low level and it was. It'll be nice when the whites of his eyes are white again and I don't have to sun bath him twice a day.

I love his smiles!! They make it all worth it.

I put Justin on his tummy so he could practice lifting his head.
He just curled up and went to sleep : )

All comfy. It's so nice to see him get a little chub.

We sun bath him twice a day to help break down the bilirubin. We have to do it in the early morning or evening to avoid a sunburn. Most of the time we do it through the window but if it's a warm morning or evening and the wind is not blowing we'll go outside.

Through the window.

Patrick got very sick when Justin was two weeks old. He self quarantined and, luckily, no one else got it. Baby was too young to get such a nasty sickness. This is Patrick holding him after being quarantined for over a week.

Justin gets so many kisses around here.

What a sweet baby.
